Refund Policy

This policy explains how refunds work for services from Tristan Web Studio — the Website Review, website projects, smaller fixed-scope services, the monthly care plan, and add-ons. It is written in plain language so you know what to expect before and after you pay.
The Website Review
The Website Review is a one-time service for $99 CAD. It is a short, advisory review of your current website. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Refunds before review work starts
You can request a refund any time before review work has started. If you change your mind shortly after paying and I have not yet begun looking at your site, you will receive a full refund.
Once review work has started
Once review work has started, the Website Review is non-refundable. This is because the value of the review is the time spent looking at your site and preparing the feedback.
Duplicate or accidental payments
If you are charged twice, or you pay by accident, that payment can be refunded. Just let me know and I will return it.
If I cannot complete the review
If Tristan Web Studio is unable to complete your Website Review for any reason, you will receive a refund.
Website projects
Website projects begin with a scope we confirm before any production work starts. If we are not aligned after the initial direction stage, you can cancel before production begins for a refund of any unstarted work. Once production work is approved and underway, refunds are limited to work that has not yet been started, within the agreed project scope. If Tristan Web Studio is unable to complete an agreed project, you will be refunded for any work not yet delivered.
Quote Path Cleanup and Landing Page Refresh
These are smaller fixed-scope services. You can request a refund any time before work has started. Once work on your page or fixes has started, the fee is non-refundable, because the value is the time spent on the agreed improvements. If I am unable to complete the agreed work, you will receive a refund.
Monthly care plan
The care plan is billed monthly and you can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future charges; the current month is not prorated, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Months already used are non-refundable. If a duplicate or accidental charge occurs, it can be refunded.
Add-ons and third-party costs
Add-ons are quoted per project and follow the same approach as the related service: refundable before the work starts, and non-refundable once that work is underway. Third-party costs paid to outside providers (for example domain, business email, paid software, paid ads, or photography) are not refundable by Tristan Web Studio, as they are set and charged by those providers.
How to request a refund
Send your refund request by email to hello@tristanwebstudio.com. Please include the name and email used at checkout so I can find your payment.
How refunds are returned
Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through Stripe. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
